Creating Routes

Routes are the foundation of your club’s ride library. This guide covers all methods for creating and managing routes.

Create routes interactively:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Routes
  2. Click “Create Route”
  3. Click points on the map to define waypoints
  4. The route auto-snaps to roads/trails
  5. Click “Save”

Upload existing GPS files:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Routes
  2. Click “Import GPX”
  3. Drag and drop or select your file
  4. Review the imported track
  5. Add name and description
  6. Click “Save”
  • Pan and zoom — Navigate the map
  • Map styles — Switch between road, satellite, terrain
  • Waypoints — Add, move, or delete points

The system calculates:

  • Distance — Total route length
  • Elevation gain — Cumulative climbing
  • Difficulty score — Based on distance and elevation

View an interactive chart showing:

  • Altitude along the route
  • Gradient indicators
  • Click to highlight on map

  1. Open the route
  2. Click “Edit”
  3. Modify the track or properties
  4. Save changes

Download for GPS devices:

  1. Open the route
  2. Click “Download GPX”
  3. Transfer to your device

Generate a shareable link:

  1. Open the route
  2. Click “Share”
  3. Copy the link
  1. Name routes descriptively — Include key landmarks
  2. Add notes — Mention road conditions, water stops
  3. Set accurate difficulty — Help members choose appropriately
  4. Keep routes updated — Note construction or closures
