Groups help you organize club members into logical sub-divisions for better management and targeted communication.
What are Groups?
Section titled “What are Groups?”Groups are subdivisions within a club that allow you to:
- Organize members by skill level
- Create ride-specific teams
- Manage geographic regions
- Separate by cycling discipline
Common Group Structures
Section titled “Common Group Structures”By Skill Level
Section titled “By Skill Level”- Beginners — New cyclists, social pace
- Intermediate — Regular riders, moderate intensity
- Advanced — Experienced cyclists, high intensity
By Discipline
Section titled “By Discipline”- Road — Road cycling enthusiasts
- Gravel — Gravel and adventure riders
- MTB — Mountain bikers
By Geography
Section titled “By Geography”- North Chapter — Northern region members
- South Chapter — Southern region members
Group Features
Section titled “Group Features”Ride Restrictions
Section titled “Ride Restrictions”Limit ride participation to specific groups:
Morning Fast Ride├── Allowed Groups: Advanced, Intermediate└── Not visible to: BeginnersGroup-Specific Content
Section titled “Group-Specific Content”- Routes: Assign routes to groups
- Announcements: Target messages to specific groups
- Statistics: View group-level analytics
Visual Identification
Section titled “Visual Identification”Groups can have:
- Color: For quick visual identification
- Description: Group purpose and requirements
- Icon: Optional group icon
Managing Groups
Section titled “Managing Groups”Creating a Group
Section titled “Creating a Group”- Go to Club Settings → Groups
- Click “Create Group”
- Enter name, description, and color
- Click “Save”
Assigning Members
Section titled “Assigning Members”Members can be assigned to groups:
- During invitation — Select groups when inviting
- After joining — Admins can assign at any time
- Self-selection — Optionally allow members to choose
